Meet Jamal Beissed: The Expert Educator Behind Root2Success Driving School

When you think of a driving instructor, you might not picture someone with a 19-year career in international finance and administration, but that unique background is exactly what Jamal Beissed brings to the passenger seat. As the professional supervisor of Root2Success Driving School (R2SDS) in Oshawa, Ontario, Jamal combines a wealth of global experience, rigorous academic training, and a passion for road safety to empower the next generation of drivers.

From International Operations and Fleet Management to Canadian Academia Before becoming an MTO-certified driving instructor, Jamal built an impressive career with UNICEF in Afghanistan. From 2004 to 2016, he served as a Finance and Administrative Officer in Mazar and later as an Administrative Officer in Kabul. In these high-stakes roles, he managed complex budgets, directed large-scale logistics for over 30 annual events, and ensured operational continuity even during high-pressure medical and security crises. Additionally, his hands-on experience as a fleet manager for UNICEF gave him a deep, practical knowledge of cars and automotive logistics (Note: This detail is not from the provided sources).

In 2016, Jamal decided to step back from his international career and relocate to Canada to further his education in business and finance. His commitment to excellence quickly became apparent. He earned an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration Accounting from Durham College in 2022 and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from Trent University in 2025, securing a spot on the Honour Roll at both institutions.

Transitioning to the Driver's Seat While adapting to life in Canada, Jamal spent time working as a salesperson at Global Automart from 2017 to 2019. There, he expertly demonstrated vehicle features, honed his ability to build rapid rapport with diverse clients in high-stress environments, and proudly maintained a 100% safety record while managing vehicle test drives in active traffic.

This blend of instructional safety, vehicle knowledge, and client relations naturally transitioned into a career as a driving instructor. Starting in October 2023 with New Method Driving School, he began preparing customized driving lessons focused on defensive driving techniques, vehicle functions, and building student confidence behind the wheel.

Building Root2Success Driving School Today, Jamal channels his vast professional and educational experiences into Root2Success Driving School. The school's curriculum stands out because of its sophisticated methodology. Under Jamal's supervision, R2SDS actively trains learners in hazard detection, spatial awareness, and critical decision-making across diverse road conditions.
